Steve Austin, a free agent following his release from WCW, made an unannounced debut in ECW, vowing to win Mikey Whipwreck's ECW Heavyweight Championship. He also does a parody of Hulk Hogan.
In Your House 3 draws similar numbers to the In Your House PPV in July. The main event has Owen Hart not showing up for the event as The British Bulldog replaced him. The story had Hart missing because of the berth of his child. He showed up at the end of the event when he jumped off the top rope, only for Diesel to hit him and give him the Jackknife Powerbomb. The referee allowed the pin despite Hart not being in the matchup. This was obviously a screwjob finish as they did not want Diesel and Shawn Michaels to be the Tag Team Champions in addition to their respective singles championships but they did not want them to lose the match since they were over with the fans. This also setup to have fans tune into Raw the next night to see what was going to happen. The WWF returned the tag team titles to Owen and Yokozuna, only for them to lose them to the Smokin' Gunns. Bret Hart took on Jean Pierre Lafitte in a thrilling match, the best on the card as Lafitte could be buried after his run-in with Diesel and Michaels.
The WWF aired a WrestleMania XI special on FOX that featured the Diesel vs. Michaels and Lawrence Taylor vs. Bam Bam Bigelow matches in their entirety. The special drew a really strong 3.8 rating.
Starrcade '95 will likely feature a rivalry with New Japan Pro Wrestling as the show will feature WCW wrestlers vs. New Japan Pro Wrestling wrestlers in a series of matches.
