We are live from Cobo Hall in Detroit, MI for Halloween Havoc 1995 with your hosts Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan. Hulk Hogan and The Giant are already driving their monster trucks around in a circle on top of the arena as we will have the Monster Truck Challenge later.
Schiavone reports to us that Ric Flair has been attacked backstage by Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman. Who knows if Flair will be ready for tonight's match where he teams with Sting to take on Arn and Pillman? If not it will be Sting on his own against Arn and Pillman.
The opening contest for Fall Brawl is the WCW World Television Championship where Diamond Dallas Page defends the title against Johnny B. Badd. They show footage of Page slashing Badd's tires on his car, causing him to miss his United States Championship match against Sting.
During the match, The Diamond Doll Kimberly reluctantly gave Page the "10" sign for his moves. She seemed to be more in Badd's corner than in Page's. One time she held up the "10" sign for Badd after he did some really good moves on Page. I wish Kimberly gave me a 10!!
Page went out of the ring and was talking to Maxx Muscle when Badd jumped over the top rope and hit both men with the Badd Day. He rolled Page back into the ring and gave him the Badd Day but only for a two count. Muscle held Badd and Page accidentally hit Muscle.
At the end of the match, Page held Badd for Muscle to clothesline him, but Badd ducked and Muscle hit Page instead, knocking him out. Badd then gave Muscle the Tootie Fruity and then pinned Page for the 1-2-3 for the win and win the WCW World Television Championship for the second time in his career. Kimberly appears to be happy Badd won.
Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan hype up the big stupid Monster Truck battle between Hulk Hogan and The Giant later tonight.
Next we see "Macho Man" Randy Savage taking on Zodiac. If Savage wins this match and Lex Luger wins his match with Meng later, Savage and Luger will fight each other later tonight. Gee I wonder who will win those matches?
Anyways, a crazed fan jumps into the ring to get at Savage as soon as the bell rings. Referee Randy Anderson is trying to hold the fan back as security runs in to take the fan away. The match goes to the floor where Savage dominates. Savage hit Zodiac with the Flying Elbow Drop for the easy win.
Mean Gene Okerlund is talking to the new WCW World Television Champion Johnny B. Badd. Badd mentions that "dreams do come true."
Road Warrior Hawk takes on Kurasawa and wants revenge after Kurasawa breaks his arm at Clash of the Champions XXXI as we are shown the footage. Hawk takes it right to him as the bell sounds. Col. Rob Parker interferes and is taken out by Hawk. Kurasawa sends Hawk injured arm first into the steel post. Kurasawa gives Hawk the Samoan Drop and pins him for the 1-2-3 with Kurasawa's feet on the ropes as the referee did not see that.
Gene Okerlund is standing with Randy Savage as Savage says he wants Hulk Hogan in the ring. Savage then talks about his interest in the Monster Truck Challenge for some reason.
Now we are on to Sabu with his uncle The Original Sheik taking on Mr. JL. Sabu hits JL with a split-ligged moonsault for the 1-2-3 and the win. After the match, The Sheik threw a fireball into JL's face. Kevin Sullivan and his "father" are just rambling on and on about nonsense in the aisle way.
Next we have Lex Luger facing off against Meng and if Luger wins, he'll face Randy Savage later on this telecast. Tony Schiavone mentions how Luger might be a member of the Dungeon of Doom. Meng dominates the match as it goes a lot longer than Savage's match earlier.
Luger goes for the Torture Rack, but Meng hits him with the golden spike. Meng goes for the cover but Kevin Sullivan kicks Luger as Meng is disqualified as Luger will now face off against Savage later as Savage will be a lot fresher than Luger.
Gene Okerlund is backstage with The Giant as Giant talks about their Monster Truck battle. Giants says he's going to shove Hogan off the roof.
Next it's supposed to be Ric Flair and Sting taking on Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman. However, Flair does not show up as he's still injured from the attack by Arn and Pillman earlier. Sting takes on Arn and Pillman by himself. As you would figure, Sting spent most of the match being double-teamed.
Eventually, Flair comes from the back with his head bandaged from the attack earlier. Eventually after minutes of taking a serious beating, Sting manages to tag Flair in and here comes Flair and the place goes nuts. Flair runs to the ropes and all of a sudden, nails Sting with a hard right-hand punch.
Flair, Arn, and Pillman triple-team and beat the tar out of Sting as this was a major swerve as Flair took off his bandages to show it was all a setup. Flair grabs a microphone and says don't mess with Flair, Arn and Pillman as the three are now united. Sting should have been aware of this as Flair has screwed him and others before.
Mike Tenay is interviewing Lex Luger backstage. Luger says he's not 100% but will take out Randy Savage.
Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan talk about the big Hulk Hogan vs. The Giant match. We are shown footage of the events between Hogan and Giant leading up to this match. We now go to the Hogan-Giant Monster Truck Challenge with Eric Bischoff doing the announcing outside the arena.
This monster truck battle is basically a sumo wrestling match as the whoever pushes the other truck out of the circle is the winner. Hogan eventually wins an uneventful match. This should have been a typical Monster Truck battle where they race each other by crushing cars or maybe they should try and crush each other.
The Giant gets out of his truck and attacks Hogan. Giant is choking Hogan at the edge of the roof, but Hogan fights him off and Giant ends up falling off the roof and plunging into the river. Hogan is all disturbed and upset at what happened.
Next up it's Lex Luger vs. Randy Savage. Tony and Bobby of course are shocked and upset over the events that had just conspired. Luger offers a handshake to Savage, but Savage refused and kicks Luger in the stomach. Luger fights back as Jimmy Hart makes his way down to the ring.
Savage tries to hit Luger with a double axe handle off the top rope, but is hit with a clothesline to the stomach. Luger tries to pin Savage with his feet on the ropes, but is unsuccessful. Hart is distracting the referee. Savage throws Luger into Hart and Savage hit Luger with the Flying Elbow Drop for the win.
We are supposed to have the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match between Hulk Hogan and The Giant, but we are shown footage of Giant falling off the top of the arena and into a river. Hogan comes out and says what happened earlier was not supposed to happen. All of a sudden, The Giant's music played as he came to the ring with Kevin Sullivan as he's alive!!!
Hogan takes off his bandana to show how evil he is as he's wearing paint on his forehead like Sullivan. Hogan fires a few right-hand punches and tries for a bodyslam, but Giant blocks it and hits Hogan in the back.
Much like Hogan's battle with Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III, Giant uses blows to Hogan's back and bearhugs him to overpower Hogan. Except, Giant was much younger and healthier than Andre was in their WrestleMania match.
After another bearhug, the referee raised Hogan's hand once, twice, and on the third, it didn't come down as Hogan fought out of the bearhug by repeatedly punching The Giant. Hogan then goes to the ropes and walks into The Giant's chokeslam as it looks like we have a new champion.
However, Hogan kicks out and "Hulks up", no selling Giant's attacks and wags his finger at Giant. Hogan then hits him with three right-hand punches and the big boot, but The Giant still won't go down. Hogan picks up Giant for a bodyslam and slams him just like he did to Andre. Hogan hits Giant with the leg drop and covers him.
However, Jimmy Hart hits referee Randy Anderson in the back of the head with Hogan's title belt, knocking him out. Hogan wonders what the heck is going on as he and Hart pick up the referee. As Hogan had his back turned, Hart nailed him with the title belt as he turns on Hogan.
Hogan no sells the attack and goes to beat up Hart. The Giant grabbed Hogan and put him into another bearhug as Kevin Sullivan runs into the ring and hits Hogan. Lex Luger and Randy Savage run down to the ring to presumably help Hogan.
Hart nails Savage in the head with the belt, knocking him out. All of a sudden, Luger attacks Savage by kicking him as the worst kept secret comes out as he joined the Dungeon of Doom. Then the giant Yeti comes down to the ring dressed like a mummy who literally is covered from head-to-toe in toilet paper.
The Yeti gives Hogan a hug as well as they are double bear hugging Hogan. Luger then put Hogan in the Torture Rack and he would give Savage the Torture Rack as well. Luger and Hart are celebrating in the middle of the ring while Hogan and Savage are laid out in the ring.
The referee disqualified Hogan for Hart hitting him with the belt as The Giant won the match, but not the title since the title cannot change hands on a DQ. Giant picks up the WCW World Heavyweight Championship belt and celebrates like he won it. He leaves the ring with the belt.
We go off the air as Hogan and Savage are helped to the back by officials. Tonight's PPV was an event full of all kinds of twists and turns and we will find out more tomorrow night on Nitro.
