We are live from Huntsville, Alabama for this week's episode of WCW Monday Nitro as we are just six days away from Halloween Havoc.
We jump right into the action as Randy Savage takes on Kurasawa. Kurasawa dominates the Macho Man with chops and kicks. Kurasawa goes for a kick on the outside, but hits the ring post. It doesn't phase Kurasawa however. He goes for the arm breaker submission, but Savage drops him throat first on the rope. Savage hits him with the Flying Elbow Drop for the win, but Savage had to sweat it out.
Eric Bischoff, Bobby Heenan, and Steve "Mongo" McMichael are shown talking about the Sting, Savage, and Lex Luger problems when the lights go out and the arena is pitch black.
The "father" of the Dungeon of Doom appears and tells us that there's someone who will appear at Halloween Havoc that will end Hulkamania. He is shown inside a big block of ice and his name appears to be the "Yeti."
Kevin Sullivan and The Giant appear with Gene Okerlund as Sullivan mentions the guy's name as the Yeti. Sullivan says Hulk Hogan is nothing but evil and vows to destroy him. The Giant says he will take the World Heavyweight Championship from Hogan and calls himself the "Immortal Giant."
After the commercial break, Okerlund calls out Hogan and Jimmy Hart. Hogan is still dressed in all black and says he fears no evil and fears no man. He says he knows what evil someone can do with black gloves and black bandana.
Hogan then says he's tired of licking his wounds and rips off his neck brace as he's truly "Immortal" as he can have his neck broken not once but twice and can continue without being dead or paralyzed. Hogan then says he doesn't believe Sting, Randy Savage, and Lex Luger are his friends and challenges all three of them to separate matches.
On WCW Saturday Night, The American Males defend the WCW World Tag Team Championship against Harlem Heat. Lex Luger takes on Shark. Hulk Hogan will again make an appearance and much more.
Eddie Guerrero was supposed to team up with Alex Wright to take on Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko. But Wright comes out with crutches as he has a knee injury and he will be replaced by Mr. JL as Wright will be in their corner. For some reason, we are shown Shark and Scott Norton fighting in the back, who the hell cares?
This was a thrilling match as all four men always seem to put on a great show whenever they are in the ring. Guerrero hits both men with a drop kick and takes down Benoit with a flying headscissors and takes Malenko down with an arm drag.
Both Guerrero and Benoit were brawling outside the ring as Malenko was climbing the ropes. Wright knocked Malenko off the ropes with his crutch as JL rolls Malenko for the 1-2-3. After the match, Brian Pillman comes out of nowhere and DDT's Guerrero on the floor, knocking him out as Pillman continues to be one of the company's top heels.
We are ready for the main event as Sting teams with Lex Luger to take on the Harlem Heat. Mongo makes fun of the WWF's In Your House PPV calling it "In Your Outhouse." Sister Sherri would be shown looking at pictures of her and Col. Rob Parker.
Sting would hit both members of Harlem Heat with Stinger Splashes and then locked Booker T into the Scorpion Death Lock. Stevie Ray kicks Sting and both give Luger a double suplex. Sting comes off the top rope and hits Booker T with a flying clothesline for the 1-2-3.
The Giant runs down and Chokeslams both Sting and Luger. Randy Savage comes down as does Hulk Hogan. Savage tells Hogan not to do anything but Hogan says he wants Giant and runs into the ring. The entire Dungeon of Doom comes out.
Hogan hits Giant with a few right hands, but Giant is unphased by the attack. Giant then nails Hogan with some big shots to Hogan's back as Hogan begins to "Hulk Up" and punches Giant some more and then smashes his head into the top turnbuckle twice. The Giant retreats as Hogan and Savage fight off the entire Dungeon of Doom.
All of a sudden, there was some shaking and the ice was breaking as the Yeti breaks free. The video cuts out and the show is over. I guess we will wait until Halloween Havoc.
