After the WWF's In Your House PPV drew a disastrous 0.4 buy rate last week, WCW's Halloween Havoc was a similar disaster as it only drew a similar 0.6. The event was headlined by the disastrous Monster Truck battle between Hulk Hogan and The Giant on the roof of Cobo Hall. The night saw Jimmy Hart turn on Hogan and Lex Luger turn on Hogan and Randy Savage and saw the nearly "8 ft tall" mummy wrapped in toilet paper called "The Yeti." Ric Flair also did his expected heel turn as well as he turned on Sting and joined Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman to reform the Four Horsemen. They are teasing a Diamond Doll-Diamond Dallas Page breakup as she clearly favored Johnny B. Badd in their match.
WCW will send a bunch of their wrestlers to Japan to take part in a New Japan Pro Wrestling show on November 13 and 14. Sting is expected to drop the United States Title to Kensuke Sasaki at the event, setting up the WCW vs. New Japan inter promotional show at Starrcade. Sting is expected to win the title back at Starrcade after dropping shortly after an angle that made him look like a dummy where he was fooled by Ric Flair.
A famous incident took place at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia as Cactus Jack tries to hit Terry Funk with a chair that had a burning towel on it. The towel lands on Funk and he is immediately engulfed in flames. Jack tries to extinguish the flame as Funk manages to get it off him. Funk and two fans were taken to the hospital and were treated for second degree burns. As this was going on, the lights went out as Raven was "crucifying" Tommy Dreamer at the "Eagle's Nest" above the arena.
