WCW Monday Nitro: September 25, 1995

We are live from the Civic Center in Florence, South Carolina for this week's edition of WCW Monday Nitro. We kickoff this week's Nitro with the Nitro debut of Disco Inferno taking on Alex Wright. Disco goes for a swinging neck breaker, but Wright counters it into a backslide for the 1-2-3 and the win.

Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart are backstage as Hogan is wearing a neck brace from the attack from The Giant at Fall Brawl. Hogan keeps saying the "no-good stinky Giant" over-and-over again. He challenges him to a Monster Truck Challenge as well as a World Title match at Halloween Havoc. Oh boy, a Monster Truck Challenge. Can't wait for that! Ugh!

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is in the ring showing us clips of Lex Luger confronting "Macho Man" Randy Savage last week. Savage and Luger are in the ring and Luger tells Savage all he wants is respect from him. He challenges Savage to a match on Nitro next week and if he loses, he'll leave WCW as soon as he returned.

Next up, the battle of the arm breakers as Kurasawa takes on Sgt. Craig Pittman in a heel vs. heel match. Maybe, hopefully one breaks the other's arm. I doubt it. I am right as Kurasawa reverses a waist lock and gives Sarge a German Suplex for the 1-2-3.

Gene Okerlund is in the ring interviewing Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman. Pillman is calling Ric Flair's quest at finding a tag team partner to face them "pathetic." Flair has been turned down by former rivals Randy Savage and Sting. Anderson mentions how great he is at tag team wrestling (and he's right) and mentions why Savage and Sting won't team with him because he screwed them over in the past and he has no one.

Promo for WCW Saturday Night as Dusty Rhodes makes his debut as the color commentator. Sting will defend his U.S. Heavyweight Title against Johnny B. Badd. The World Tag Team Champions American Males will be in action and we will hear The Giant's response to Hulk Hogan's challenge from earlier.

Randy Savage takes on Kevin Sullivan as they show clips of Sullivan attacking Savage on the set of Baywatch a couple weeks ago. Zodiac comes out during Savage's entrance. Savage goes after Sullivan, who runs away as Zodiac attacks Savage by sending him into the ring post. Savage comes back and gives Sullivan a double ax handle off the top rope.

Savage brings Zodiac into the ring. As referee Randy Anderson tries to stop him, he gets shoved down by Savage as Savage is DQ'd. Savage slams Sullivan onto Zodiac and goes up top for the Flying Elbow Drop. Sullivan moves out of the way as Savage nails Zodiac.

The Giant comes down to the ring as he Chokeslams Savage. Several jobbers come to the ring and they all get Chokeslammed as well. Alex Wright jumps off the top rope onto the Giant, but he gets slammed to.

Here comes Lex Luger. Is he here to save Savage? He just stands over him. The Giant grabs him and Luger attacks him and tries to body slam him, but the Giant stops him and gives him the Chokeslam as well. Kevin Sullivan tells Giant not to do that as perhaps Luger is in the Dungeon of Doom?

After the commercial break, Luger is still down in the ring as it is time for our main event as Luger takes on Meng. Meng easily takes advantage of a down and out Luger and dominates him. Meng runs into the corner, but Luger nails him with not one but two boots to the face. After Luger stomped on him in the corner, Meng pulls out his spike and hits Luger in the throat with it for the 1-2-3.

Next week on WCW Monday Nitro: Hulk Hogan will be here. World Tag Team Champions the American Males will take on The Nasty Boys. Dean Malenko will be in action. Plus the main event with Randy Savage taking on Lex Luger and if Luger loses, he'll leave WCW.
