WWF Monday Night Raw: October 30, 1995

The night before Halloween has us listening to Todd Pettengill give an awful Dracula impersonation while describing the events of last week's episode of Raw. This week on Raw, our hosts Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler are dressed in Halloween costumes as Vince is a prisoner (fittingly enough) and Lawler as a doctor perhaps as a tribute to Dr. Isaac Yankem.

Goldust makes his Raw debut as he takes on Savio Vega. Goldust is fitting on Halloween. Goldust has his own "fan club" of Goldust wannabes in the stands. Goldust works on Vega's arm and shoulder.  McMahon says Goldust looks like a "masculine Rupaul." Sure. Vega misses a spinning heel kick. Goldust put him in a hammerlock and rolled him up into a pin for the win in his broadcast television debut.

Pumpkin face Dok Hendrix gives us an update on the Diesel-Bret Hart World Title main event at Survivor Series. Given the finishes or non-finishes of the last two PPVs between these two, this match will have No Disqualification, No Count Out, and No Time Limit as there must be a winner.

We see Razor Ramon and The 1-2-3 Kid arguing backstage. Barry Horowitz defeats his friend Hakushi in Karate Fighters. Marty Jannetty takes care of a jobber with the Flying Fist Drop. Vince McMahon tells us that Jannetty will face The British Bulldog next week on Raw. McMahon also mentions that Jerry Lawler will team with Isaac Yankem to take on Hakushi and Bret Hart as well.

McMahon is in the ring interviewing Jim Cornette, Bulldog, and attorney Clarence Mason. Cornette says Bulldog is denied the world championship as part of a conspiracy set up by WWF President Gorilla Monsoon. He claimed Monsoon went back on his word and Bret Hart screwed him out of the title because Hart did not want to face Bulldog at Survivor Series as he's afraid of him.

Cornette hires Mason to try and get the decision overturned and have the belt turned over to Bulldog. Mason uses a bunch of random mumbo jumbo like Kramer on Seinfeld's lawyer Jackie Chiles uses on the show. Cornette then rips on Monsoon for Survivor Series putting Bulldog in a match where he teams with a bunch of guys he can't trust.

Bulldog talks about his match next week with Marty Jannetty as Jannetty runs into the ring to dropkick Bulldog out of the ring and attacks Cornette in retaliation of what Bulldog did to him last week. Jannetty then threatens Mason.

The WWF Tag Team Champions Smoking Gunns take on a pair of jobbers. They show the temper tantrum The 1-2-3 Kid threw during their match at In Your House. The Kid comes on split screen to apologize to the Gunns for his actions. The Smoking Gunns easily win this match.

Bret Hart has a message to deliver to Diesel about how he will beat him for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Jerry Lawler was mad that Hart did not mention him once and claims he's overlooking him next week for their match.

Next is the WWF Intercontinental Championship match as Razor Ramon defends the title against Owen Hart, who won the battle royal last week on Raw for the right to take on Razor for the title. Vince McMahon tells us that Shawn Michaels will return to the ring this Friday night in Cincinnati.

Razor tries to give Hart the back superplex, but Hart counters it into a pin, but Razor rolls him over for a pin, but only for two. Razor sets up Owen for the Razor's Edge as Yokozuna comes into the ring and pulls Owen off of Razor's shoulders. Owen and Yokozuna attack Razor as Owen is disqualified. The 1-2-3 Kid runs in for the save, but is attacked by Yokozuna as he gives him a leg drop.

In comes Ahmed Johnson for his WWF debut. He gives the 600-lb. Yokozuna a body slam. The British Bulldog comes in to challenge Johnson, but the two stare at each other as the show goes off the air.
