WWF Monday Night Raw: October 23, 1995

We kickoff this week's episode of Monday Night Raw live from Brandon, Manitoba, Canada with a special 20-man battle royal with the winner to receive a WWF Intercontinental Championship match next week with new champion Razor Ramon.

Owen Hart and Marty Jannetty are the final two. Jim Cornette tries to hit Jannetty with his tennis racket, but Jannetty chases after him. The British Bulldog attacks Jannetty and throws him back into the ring, where Owen easily throws Jannetty over the top rope to win the battle royal.

As we come back from commercial break, Owen and Cornette are talking with Jerry "The King" Lawler in the ring. Owen promises to beat Razor for the Intercontinental title next week, just like when he beat his brother Bret.

Dok Hendrix gives us the Survivor Series report. The main event will be Diesel defending the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Plus, there will be a special eight-man tag team Survivor Series "Wildcard" elimination match.

Shawn Michaels, assuming he's healthy enough to wrestle, will be paired up with his old enemy Sycho Sid, The British Bulldog, and newcomer Ahmed Johnson following a random draw to take on Razor Ramon, his arch nemesis Dean Douglas, Yokozuna, and Owen Hart.

We are back as newcomer Avatar, a ninja easily squashes a jobber not much else to report.

Now on to the main event where Alundra Blayze attempts to win back the WWF Women's Championship from the big girl Bertha Faye. Faye attacks Blayze at the start. We come back from a commercial to show that Blayze kicked out of a sit down powerbomb. Faye collides with Harvey Wippleman and Blayze gives her a bridging German Suplex for the 1-2-3 and reclaim the Women's Title.

Before the show ends, Jim Ross has an emotional sit down interview with Shawn Michaels. He asks Michaels how it felt to forfeit the title to Dean Douglas. Michaels says it was the hardest thing he ever had to to but is glad Razor Ramon won the title.

Ross asks Michaels about his thoughts on the upcoming wacky Survivor Series match he's involved in and whether or not he's healthy enough to participate. He says he has to go to the doctor on Wednesday for tests. Michaels says he can either sit at home and cry or come to work and be in pain and he said he's all cried out.

Next week on Monday Night Raw, Goldust makes his Raw debut taking on Savio Vega. Plus Razor Ramon defends the Intercontinental Title against Owen Hart.
