WCW Monday Nitro: October 9, 1995

We are live from the Rosemont Horizon from Rosemont, Illinois near Chicago. Eric Bischoff, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, and the "emmy award winning" Steve "Mongo" McMichael are all shown wearing Chicago Bears jerseys. Mongo is wearing his old #76 jersey. Bischoff is wearing #1 and Brain is wearing ? on his jersey.

Sting comes to the announce table and says he will fix the problems between "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Lex Luger. Sting goes to the ring as he defends his U.S. Heavyweight Title against Shark. There is no Kevin Sullivan, The Giant, and Zodiac as they are not allowed in the building to there being a restraining order against them by Hulk Hogan, who is in the building tonight. Sting defeats Shark with a flying cross body off the top rope to win the match and retain the title.

They show footage of The Giant and Sullivan attacking Hogan last week where Giant ripped off the neck brace off Hogan and "broke" his neck again. Then they show Sullivan shaving off Hogan's mustache.

Next up, Sabu takes on Mr. JL. Sabu hits JL with a somersault leg drop and a springboard leg drop. Sabu pulls out a steel chair and runs up on it and delivers a flying leg drop onto JL on the guardrail. Sabu nails JL with a split-legged moonsault and locks him into the Camel Clutch, only for JL to grab the ropes.

Sabu climbs the top rope, only to be knocked down by JL as Sabu lands on his crotch. JL jumps up and gives Sabu a DDT off the top rope, but only gets a two-count. Sabu stops JL on the top rope and tries a Frankensteiner, but JL holds on and Sabu lands.

JL tries a flying dropkick, but Sabu catches him and gives him a powerbomb. Sabu locks JL in the camel clutch as JL submits. After the match, Sabu gives JL a sunset powerbomb onto the floor as the crowd goes nuts.

In the ring, Gene Okerlund has Sting, Lex Luger, and Randy Savage in the ring. Savage says he doesn't question Luger anymore and instead asks why Sting has not been Chokeslammed by The Giant? Sting tells him to "shut his mouth." Is Sting a member of the Dungeon of Doom? Is this perhaps the turning of heel for Sting?

Sting then says he has a brilliant idea if Luger beats Meng and Savage beats Kamala in their matches at Halloween Havoc, Luger and Savage will fight each other later that night. Luger doesn't seem to be down with that as Sting tells him maybe he's not the Total Package. Luger finally agrees and the challenge is on. Why the hell don't they just have Luger vs. Savage?

Chris Benoit enters WCW Monday Nitro in a limousine.

Road Warrior Hawk takes on Big Bubba Rogers as Disco Inferno is out dancing to his music during both men's entrances. Hawk scares Disco away. This is Hawk's first match since his arm was broken by Kurasawa at Clash of the Champions two months ago. Disco appears dancing on the apron. Hawk grabs his shirt and rips it and attacks him up the aisleway and Hawk is counted out.

Gene Okerlund calls out Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart to the ring for an interview. Hogan is not wearing his legendary red-and-yellow. Instead he's wearing all black, even his neck brace is black. Hart is also wearing all black as well. He tells Gene and Jimmy not to talk.

Hogan mentions how he defeated Andre the Giant in Detroit and will do the same to The Giant there at Halloween Havoc. Hogan then basically rips Vince McMahon and the WWF. There's all this commotion as The Giant is driving a monster truck with Kevin Sullivan and Zodiac in it.

The police won't let them into the building since they are banned from entering the arena tonight. Hogan says he's going out there to fight The Giant, only to be separated by police.

There's not much time left for our main event which is the Steel Cage match between Ric Flair and Arn Anderson. Flair and Anderson took turns throwing each other in the cage. Brian Pillman comes down and climbs the cage, but Flair knocks him off.

Anderson pulls out the brass knuckles. Flair puts Anderson in the Figure Four, only for Anderson to nail him with the brass knuckles, knocking Flair out and Anderson pinned him for the win. Pillman raises Anderson's arm and the two walk to the back in victory.

An irate Flair runs to the announce booth and rips Eric Bischoff's headset off of him and yells saying he wants Anderson and Pillman at the same time next week. We are out of time so hopefully it will be Flair vs. Anderson/Pillman next week.
