WWF Monday Night Raw: February 5, 1996

We kickoff this week's episode of Monday Night Raw with the Two Dudes with Attitudes (Shawn Michaels and Diesel) taking on The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith and Yokozuna. Michaels starts off with Smith. Smith shoulderblocks Michaels to the floor.

Back in the ring, Smith attempts to gorilla press slam Michaels, but Michaels rakes the eyes to avoid that. Michaels tries to roll up Smith from behind, but Smith holds onto the ropes only to turn around and clotheslined to the floor by Michaels.

Yokozuna comes into the ring and he throws Michaels into Diesel. Diesel catches Michaels and throws him on top of Yokozuna. Diesel then knocks Yokozuna to the outside. Back in the ring, Diesel punches Yokozuna but runs into a Samoan Drop. Yokozuna misses an elbow drop and Diesel tags Michaels in.

Yokozuna throws Michaels into the ropes, where Smith held the rope down and Michaels was sent over the top rope and onto the floor. Smith sends Michaels into the steel steps and throws him back into the ring. Smith then gives Michaels a really delayed vertical suplex. Smith does a backflip and tags in Yokozuna, who misses a splash.

Michaels tags in Diesel who hits both men and big boots Yokozuna. Michaels climbs on Diesel's shoulders and hits a flying splash on Yokozuna off Diesel's shoulders. He pins him for 1-2 and then Smith runs in to breakup the pin with a leg drop, but he hits Yokozuna accidentally. Diesel clotheslines Smith out of the ring. Michaels nails Yokozuna with Sweet Chin Music, sending him to the floor.

Owen Hart runs down to the ring to help Smith get Yokozuna back into the ring, but cannot as he is counted out as the Two Dudes with Attitudes win by count out. Jim Cornette rips Yokozuna for the loss and Yoko can't take it anymore and attacks Cornette. Smith and Hart attack but Yokozuna holds them off and chases them all away as Yokozuna is turning face.

This is the second Mankind promo we are shown on RAW.

The 1-2-3 Kid takes on Hakushi as Kid brings a giant baby bottle to the ring with him the same one he wants to feed to Razor Ramon when he beats him at In Your House. The two trade moves as Hakushi sends Kid to the floor with a kick. Hakushi was about to flip onto Kid on the floor, but Kid gets out of the way.

Kid then throws Hakushi over the top rope and then lands a somersault on him on the floor. Back in the ring, Kid attacks Hakushi with kicks to the corner. When we come back from commercial, Kid jumps off the top rope into a dropkick by Hakushi.

Hakushi lands his Handspring elbow as Kid heads to the floor. Hakushi lands a springboard dive onto the floor. Back in the ring, Hakushi lands a flying shoulderblock for a near fall. Kid spin kicks Hakushi for two. Hakushi hits a Frankensteiner for two. He goes up top, but Kid catches him and brings him down with a butterfly superplex off the top rope for the 1-2-3.

Jim Cornette and his attorney Clarence Mason tell us if the WWF does not reinstate Vader, they will sue them. We are shown two weeks ago on RAW Vader attacking Gorilla Monsoon.

We go to Monsoon who says he is beat up but will heal. He apologizes for his actions. When asked if Vader should be reinstated, he says that's up to the WWF board of directors. He then closes by saying Roddy Piper will be good for the WWF until he returns after WrestleMania XII.

It's time for the WWF Championship rematch from the Royal Rumble two weeks ago between Bret Hart and The Undertaker. The WWF must be desperate as WCW is beating them in ratings to show a PPV main event caliber WWF Championship match on TV.

Bret punches Undertaker while Undertaker punches and chokes Bret. Undertaker puts Hart in the claw hold. Undertaker then goes tightrope walk on the top rope when he notices Diesel, who came out for commentary. Undertaker was distracted as Bret pulls him off the top rope. Bret begins working the leg as we go to commercial break.

Back from commercial, Undertaker beats on Hart on the outside and back in the ring, he nails Hart with the tightrope jump onto the back of Hart's neck. Vince McMahon mentions to Diesel that Undertaker said it would be a cold day in hell before Diesel would be WWF Champion again. Diesel tells McMahon that he saw the weather report and its 70 BELOW zero in hell.

Undertaker nailed Hart with a jumping clothesline. He picks up Hart and goes for the Tombstone Piledriver, but he accidentally swung Hart into referee Tim White, knocking White down. Bret escapes the Tombstone and rolls Undertaker up, but there is no ref to count it. Hart then works on Undertaker's leg and posts it around the ring post.

Diesel gets up and attacks Bret and sends him into the steel steps. Diesel then hits Undertaker with a steel chair and brings him back into the ring, where Diesel gives him two Jackknife Powerbombs. When we get back from commercial, the match was announced a no-contest as Diesel screwed Undertaker out of the title once again. Bret attacks Diesel on their way back to the dressing room.

Once again, we go to Billionaire Ted for yet another press conference. He mentions he will not use "his own money" to put the WWF out of business. They ask him about how he lost millions of dollars of the shareholders' money. Ted then goes on to say he is motivated by money and power and wants more. There is a picture of Ted Turner with the caption "Beware Shareholders" to be printed in the New York Times.

There will be no Raw on next week so we will back in two weeks. In the meantime, In Your House will be 13 days away.
