We are live from Tampa, Florida 24 hours after the SuperBrawl VI PPV with our hosts Eric Bischoff, Bobby Heenan, and Steve "Mongo" McMichael. Bischoff talks SuperBrawl and says how Johnny B. Badd is now $6.6 million richer and maybe more since he gets to keep the lovely Kimberly as he beat Diamond Dallas Page yet again.
I don't know why they have Page losing all the time to Badd? I think Page has gotten so much better in the last year and deserves better and I don't know but this could kill his career sadly. It's hard for him to get a serious run as he is what nearly 40 and got a really late start in wrestling.
Perhaps they have him off TV for a couple of months and say he's down on his luck and somehow comes back that could resurrect his career. I'm hoping whatever happens he stays in wrestling even if he's not a wrestler as he could be a manager or announcer like he was before because he's very good at those. He's been getting really good in the ring and hopefully give him one last shot.
Anyway we are shown still photos of last night's SuperBrawl PPV with Miss Elizabeth handing her shoe to Ric Flair and her betraying Randy Savage causing Flair to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, his 13th world title. Then Hulk Hogan is shown destroying and taking out the entire Dungeon of Doom.
The opening match features an angry Savage, irate over being screwed out of his WCW World Title and being betrayed by his ex-wife Liz and joining his mortal enemy, taking on the Dungeon of Doom's Hugh Morris. Savage ditches the cowboy hat for a bandana as he is pissed at what happened last night and means business tonight.
Savage and Morris just eye rake and choke each other. Savage throws Morris outside and sends him into the ring post. Morris tries for No Laughing Matter (moonsault) but misses as Savage gets out of the way. Savage then gives Morris not one but two Flying Elbow Drops to win the match.
Savage is not done yet as he climbs the top rope and looks to go for a third Flying Elbow Drop but the referees stop him as Morris rolls out of the ring. Savage then gets on the microphone and wants a piece of Ric Flair. Well he'll get his chance next week as he will face Flair for the World Title in a rematch next week on Nitro.
We come back from a commercial break as Gene Okerlund is talking to NASCAR driver Steve Grissom, who will be driving the WCW car in the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series this season.
NASCAR opens their season this weekend at Daytona for the Busch Series 300-mile race on Saturday, which Grissom will be driving the WCW car, followed by Sunday's Daytona 500 for the premier NASCAR Winston Cup Series, where Grissom will also be racing as he will be driving the Cartoon Network Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
The Dungeon of Doom's Loch Ness, who made his debut at the end of the PPV last night, accompanied by Jimmy Hart will face Scotty Riggs. While Loch Ness is really fat, he is not 700 lbs. like Eric Bischoff keeps saying he is. Loch Ness catches Riggs attempt at a cross body and falls on top of him. Loch Ness gives Riggs two elbow drops to win the match.
Gene Okerlund is with Miss Elizabeth and Woman, who are wheeling out a bed. New WCW Champion Ric Flair comes from underneath the sheets to cut an awesome promo on Randy Savage on how he beat him for the title and took Liz from him.
Flair then does his usual space mountain and grabs the ladies. Liz mentions how Savage treated her and always made her stand behind him. She took half of everything from him in the divorce and now took everything by taking the title away from him and giving it to Flair. All three then let out a giant WOOOOO!!!!
United States Champion Konnan is defending his title against newcomer Devon Storm. Storm takes it to Konnan early on by dropkicking him to the floor. Storm grabs a steel chair and sets it up in the ring. He then runs and jumps onto the chair and does a somersault onto Konnan on the floor in an awesome move!!!
Storm sits Konnan in a chair on the floor and jumps off the steel steps, but Konnan catches him and powerbombs him on the floor. We are shown New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner sitting in the audience. Konnan nails Storm with some headscissors takedowns. Storm tries a Frankensteiner off the middle rope but its countered into a powerbomb and Konnan gets the 1-2-3 to retain the title.
Eric Bischoff apologizes for joking that the WWF had something to do with the power going off during last week's Nitro.
It's time for the main event with Hulk Hogan taking on Arn Anderson with Woman in his corner. Hogan gains the early advantage with clotheslines and choking Arn with his wrist tape. Hogan also takes off his eye patch only to be hit by an elbow by Arn on the eye.
Here comes Ric Flair and Elizabeth down to ringside. Arn gives Hogan his Spinebuster as Arn goes for the cover. 1-2-and a kick out and Hogan begins to "Hulk up!" He gives Arn three right hand punches and the big boot and the leg dr---wait a minute! He doesn't go for the leg drop instead he notices Flair and goes for the Figure Four.
Flair runs in to try and stop Hogan only to be cradled up by Hogan. The referee is preoccupied as Woman throws white powder in Hogan's bad eye. The referee notices Woman and is distracted by her. Flair gives Arn Liz's shoe and he nails Hogan with it and covers him for the 1-2-3 for a shocking win!!! I would never imagine in a million years Arn would beat Hogan!!! I'm very excited!!!
Despite losing, Hogan gets right up and attacks both Arn and Flair. Randy Savage runs in with a steel chair and hits both Arn and Flair with it sending them running from the ring. Flair and Arn run over to the announce booth and Flair rips the headset off of Eric Bischoff and bashes both Hogan and Savage. Arn challenges Hogan to a rematch next week on Nitro saying he could beat him again.
Hogan and Savage chase Arn and Flair away from the broadcast booth as Gene Okerlund meets them over there. Hogan wants the rematch with Arn and Savage is ready to get his hands on Flair next week in the championship rematch. Next week should be a good show.
