WCW SuperBrawl VI Preview

Street Fight - The Nasty Boys vs. The Public Enemy
These two brawling tag teams have started a feud back at Clash of the Champions a couple weeks ago when these two teams fought to a double disqualification when they used tables on one another. The Public Enemy have been using tables much like they did back in ECW. Now it's time to see these two teams fight in a lawless street fight.

WCW World Television Championship and Everything on the Line match - WCW TV Champion Johnny B. Badd (w/ Kimberly) vs. Diamond Dallas Page
Diamond Dallas Page has lost the WCW TV Title and his precious Diamond Doll Kimberly to Johnny B. Badd at Halloween Havoc and World War 3, respectively. Now Page is putting up everything he has left which is $7 million from the bingo winnings, that was actually Kimberly's that Page fooled, against Badd to win back his TV Title and girl.

WCW United States Heavyweight Championship match - WCW U.S. Champion Konnan vs. One Man Gang
Newcomer Konnan defeated One Man Gang on a match after Monday Nitro a couple of weeks to win the U.S. Heavyweight Championship. Now Gang wants to win it back from him.

"I Respect You" Strap match - Kevin Sullivan (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs. Brian Pillman
Problems between Kevin Sullivan and Brian Pillman have stemmed from late 1995 when Pillman insulted Sullivan's Dungeon of Doom and Sullivan has had a problem with him since. Pillman has been a giant nut lately as he is dubbed the "Loose Cannon." Sullivan and his Dungeon of Doom tried to have an alliance with the Four Horsemen but his problems with Pillman have prevented this.

He believes Pillman doesn't respect him or the Dungeon of Doom. Now he wants Sullivan to "respect him" and the two will fight in a leather strap match where the winner makes the other say "I respect you." The last two episodes of Nitro, Sullivan has actually whipped Pillman with the strap.

WCW World Tag Team Championship match - WCW Tag Team Champions Sting & Lex Luger vs. Harlem Heat with the winner to face The Road Warriors later in the show
Sting and Lex Luger won the WCW World Tag Team Championship on the January 22 edition of Monday Nitro. Luger used a roll of quarters from Jimmy Hart to knock out Booker T to win the titles for he and Sting. Now Harlem Heat wants a championship rematch.

The returning Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) returned to WCW at Clash of the Champions a couple weeks ago and challenged Sting and Luger for the titles. They faced off against each other last Monday Night, where Sting and Luger retained the titles again due to Luger's cheating as he used a metal object on Animal.

The Road Warriors were angry and want another shot at the title so they challenged the winner of the Sting/Luger-Harlem Heat match. The winner of the match will defend the titles against The Road Warriors later in the show.

WCW World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage match - WCW World Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage (w/ Elizabeth) vs. Ric Flair (w/ Woman)
This feud stems from their days in the WWF back in 1992 and ironically, it originally centered around Randy Savage's then wife and now current valet Miss Elizabeth, who returned to Savage's side a few weeks ago.

Savage and Ric Flair's feud in WCW started way back last year at Uncensored when Flair dressed like a woman and ran from the crowd and into the ring attack Savage. Their feud heated up at last May's Slamboree PPV when Flair attacked Savage's father Angelo Poffo and put him in the Figure Four.

Flair then defeated Savage the next month at The Great American Bash when Flair again attacked Savage's father and used his cane on Savage. Savage defeated Flair at Bash at the Beach in a "Lifeguard match" to temporarily end the feud.

The feud picked back up at the end of 1995 when Savage defended his WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Flair at Starrcade in December. Flair won the title from Savage after Arn Anderson interfered and hit Savage with brass knuckles.

Savage won the title back from Flair on the January 22 edition of Nitro when Anderson accidentally hit Flair with the brass knuckles originally intended for Savage. Also that night, Savage brought Woman back to WCW to be in his corner. Then the next night at Clash of the Champions, he brought Elizabeth to WCW and back in professional wrestling for the first time in four years.

Flair has had momentum on his side. First, he and The Giant defeated Savage and Hulk Hogan at Clash of the Champions. Then on the January 29 episode of Nitro, Flair defeated Hogan in a singles match when he used Liz's high heel shoe, stolen from Jimmy Hart and Arn Anderson, and hit Hogan in the eye with it, damaging it.

Then last week on Nitro, Flair again attacked Hogan in his bad eye and Woman turned on Savage by attacking him and joining Flair and the Four Horsemen. Now it's time for Savage to defend the title against Flair inside a steel cage at SuperBrawl.

Steel Cage match - Hulk Hogan vs. The Giant (w/ Kevin Sullivan & Jimmy Hart)
The longtime feud between Hulk Hogan and The Giant started all the way back last July at Bash at the Beach when the newcomer Giant threw Andre the Giant's shirt at Hogan and basically blaming him for the death of Andre. At Clash of the Champions in August, The Giant attacked and choked out Hogan in the Dungeon of Doom as he revealed he joined Kevin Sullivan's Dungeon of Doom after Sullivan tricked Hogan into entering his lair.

Then at Fall Brawl next month, The Giant attacked Hogan after the WarGames match by again choking him out and then snapping his neck. A couple weeks later on Nitro, The Giant again twisted Hogan's neck and Sullivan shaved off Hogan's mustache. Also, The Giant would destroy Hogan's prized Harley Davidson motorcycle with a monster truck.

Hogan met The Giant at Halloween Havoc first in a monster truck battle on the roof of Cobo Hall and again in the main event with Hogan defending his WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Hogan defeated Giant in the monster truck battle with Giant getting out of the truck and attacking Hogan. Hogan fought back and Giant ended up falling off the roof and down into the river.

Hogan was upset with what happened as Giant miraculously made his way to the ring for their title match later. Hogan's then manager Jimmy Hart turned on Hogan and got Hogan disqualified as he joined forces with The Giant and the Dungeon of Doom. The Dungeon of Doom attacked and laid Hogan and Randy Savage out.

The Giant left the ring with the World Title belt as he won the match but by DQ as Hogan should have retained the title. However, Hart further screwed Hogan out of the title by putting a clause in the contract by saying he would lose the title if he got disqualified. Hogan's record reign as WCW Champ ended at 469 days.

The title would be vacated by WCW due to the controversial finish and would be up for grabs at the inaugural World War 3 PPV in the World War 3 battle royal. Hogan eliminated Giant by throwing him over the top rope as Hogan and his friend Randy Savage were the final two left.

The Giant pulled Hogan out of the ring by the bottom rope. Hogan was not eliminated but the refs did not see that as they only saw Savage in the ring and awarded him the WCW World Heavyweight Championship as The Giant again screwed Hogan out of the title.

The rest of 1995 going into 1996, Hogan and The Giant would continue to attack one another on episodes of Monday Nitro as they will settle the score inside a steel cage.
