WWF Monday Night Raw: September 25, 1995

We are live from Grand Rapids, Michigan for Monday Night Raw one night after the In Your House 3 PPV. There was a controversial finish to last night's "triple header" main event in which the Two Dudes with Attitudes won the WWF World Tag Team Championship and control all three men's titles.

We recap last night's main event where Owen Hart did not show up at the arena for the Triple Header match and Gorilla Monsoon named Davey Boy Smith as his replacement. Hart arrived at the arena late as he ran down to the ring and jumped off the top rope, only to be hit by Diesel and Powerbombed as the Two Dudes with Attitudes won the Tag Team Titles.

Earlier today, Jim Cornette's lawyer Clarence Mason managed to get Monsoon to return the titles back to Owen Hart and Yokozuna due to Owen not being the legal man in the match last night. I knew they wouldn't let this happen long with Diesel and Shawn Michaels controlling all three titles at the same time.

Monsoon agreed to give the titles back on two conditions. One, the Two Dudes with Attitudes must be given a future rematch. Second, the non-title match tonight against the Smoking Gunns will be for the titles in a rematch from WrestleMania XI where the Gunns lost the titles to Owen and Yokozuna. Cornette and Mason go bezerk but it won't matter.

We kickoff tonight's action with the re-return of Marty Jannetty (what's this his eighth return to the WWF?) as he faces off with Skip with the beautiful Sunny at his side. Oh man I love me some Sunny. After Jannetty knocks Skip out of the ring, he gets a hug form Sunny. Lucky bastard.

Jannetty knocks down Skip and turns Sunny around for a hug. Sunny goes to slap Jannetty, but Jannetty moved out of the way and she accidentally nailed Skip. Dean Douglas is in the aisle taking notes on the match. Sunny interferes in the match helping Skip. It wasn't enough as Jannetty hits Skip with the Rocker Dropper and the Flying Fist Drop off the top rope for the win.

We again show highlights from last night where Owen Hart did not show up for the match but came at the end. Despite him not being in the match, the referee allowed him to be a participant and counted three for the Two Dudes with Attitudes. The referee's decision was final so the results remained with the Two Dudes with Attitudes winning the Tag Team Titles.

Gorilla Monsoon wanted to maintain the integrity of the sport by having one of the championships change hands despite the controversy. We show the earlier meeting with Monsoon, Jim Cornette and Cornette's lawyer Clarence Mason. Eventually due to legal action against the WWF, Monsoon was forced to give the titles back to Owen and Yokozuna. Monsoon ordered them to defend the titles against the Smoking Gunns tonight.

We are on to the now title match between Owen and Yokozuna against the Smoking Gunns as we join the match in progress. The Two Dudes with Attitudes are watching the match from the back. Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler explain why Owen was late last night and it was because his wife gave berth to their second child and he did not want to miss that.

After Owen and Yokozuna take it to Billy Gunn, he makes the hot tag to his "brother" Bart Gunn, who runs in like a house of fire taking out the two heels. The Gunns give Owen the Sidewinder. The referee tries to get Billy out of the ring as Yokozuna goes to splash Bart, but Bart moves out of the way as Owen is the recipient of the splash.

Billy drop kicks Yokozuna out of the ring as Bart covers Owen for the 1-2-3 and the Gunns win back the WWF Tag Team Championship from the team that beat them at WrestleMania. Diesel and Shawn Michaels run from the back to celebrate with the Gunns. It looks like a possible Yokozuna face turn in the near future.

It's time for the main event as The Undertaker takes on The British Bulldog. Men on a Mission make their down to the aisle to watch the match. Waylon Mercy is also shown watching the match from the back. Bulldog hits Undertaker with a piledriver only for Undertaker to sit up. After not one but two long-standing suplexes, The Undertaker sits up.

Undertaker hits Bulldog with the Chokeslam and is about to put Bulldog away. However, King Mabel comes to the ring as Bulldog knees Undertaker into Mabel, who gives Undertaker a belly-to-belly suplex. Bulldog gives Undertaker the running powerslam and Mabel gives Undertaker a leg drop.

Shawn Michaels and Diesel run to the ring to run off Bulldog and Mabel. Owen Hart and Yokozuna come down to surround the ring with Bulldog and Mabel. However, the new Tag Team Champions the Smoking Gunns run into the ring to help out Undertaker, Michaels, and Diesel.

The Undertaker shakes hands with the babyfaces. Maybe we should have some sort of 10-man tag team match between Men on a Mission and Camp Cornette against The Undertaker, Two Dudes with Attitudes, and the Smoking Gunns.

After the final commercial break, they show the 1-2-3 Kid interfering and costing Razor Ramon his match with Dean Douglas last night. The Kid and Razor nearly fought until being broken up by WWF officials. Jerry Lawler spreads a rumor that the Kid has been talking with Ted DiBiase.

Next week on Monday Night Raw, Razor Ramon takes on The 1-2-3 Kid in a rematch from a couple weeks ago as they look to try and settle their differences. Bret "The Hitman" Hart will take on Jean-Pierre Lafitte in a rematch from last night.

The WWF announces In Your House 4 live on PPV from Winnipeg, Canada on October 22. The main event will be Diesel defending his WWF World Heavyweight Championship against The British Bulldog. Bret Hart will be at the PPV to sign a contract to meet the WWF Champion at the Survivor Series.

Shawn Michaels defends his WWF Intercontinental Championship against Dean Douglas. Goldust will make his WWF debut that night as well.
