WCW Monday Nitro: September 18, 1995

We are live from Johnson City, Tennessee for this week's episode of WCW Monday Nitro, one night after the Fall Brawl PPV. The Giant and Kevin Sullivan are seen arriving at the arena in an ambulance as Gene Okerlund interviews them.

Giant brags about "breaking" Hulk Hogan's neck last night and calls himself the one true immortal. Okerlund tells Giant his "father" Andre the Giant would not approve of his actions as Giant replied saying Andre would have approved ending Hulkamania. I suppose Hogan is not here tonight.

The American Males (Marcus Bagwell and Scott Riggs) are supposed to take on The Blue Bloods (Bobby Eaton and Lord Steven Regal) to start the night. However, Harlem Heat attacked The Blue Bloods and challenged the Males to a match instead as apparently the WCW World Tag Team Championship is on the line.

Sherri was about to hit Bagwell with her shoe, but Col. Rob Parker came to the ring and Sherri sees him and jumps into his arms as he carries her to the back. Booker T picks up Bagwell for a pumphandle slam which Bagwell counters into a pin for the 1-2-3 as the American Males are new WCW World Tag Team Champions to the surprise of everyone.

Gene Okerlund calls Ric Flair out for an interview. Flair says Arn Anderson broke the code when he had Brian Pillman interfere on his behalf. Flair mentions how he will beat Pillman later tonight.

The supposedly new and improve "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff takes on Johnny B. Badd. Orndorff has this new soothing theme music as he's Mr. Wonderful. I like this new theme of Mr. Wonderful, better than stupid generic crap music you hear them play on infomercials. Badd tried to put Orndorff in a sunset flip, but Orndorff countered by holding Badd's legs and his knees were on Badd's shoulders, pinning him to the mat to win.

We are shown a clip of WCW wrestlers on the set of Baywatch. Randy Savage is shown lifting weights as Kevin Sullivan attacked him. Ric Flair helps Savage from the attack as apparently Flair is now a face.

Okerlund interviewed Savage and Savage declined Flair's help. Savage said he will take out Sullivan. Then he talks about Hogan, saying he was wrong for having Lex Luger on their team last night as Luger hit Savage, albeit accidentally.

Luger comes out to confront Savage and says he's sick of playing with children and wants to play with the big boys referring to leaving WWF for WCW. Savage has his own personal agenda to be the World Champion. Savage agrees but still trashes Luger and wants to fight him, but nothing happens except for Savage getting in a little slap to the face.

They show clips of Hogan getting his motorcycle being run over by The Giant driving a monster truck before the Fall Brawl PPV. Then they show The Giant breaking Hogan's neck at the end of the PPV.

Ric Flair took on Brian Pillman in the main event. Pillman is still "Flyin'" Brian and still comes out to the "Blondes Have More Fun" song but shows his new heel persona. Flair made Pillman submit to the Figure Four for the win. Flair then got on the microphone and calls out Arn Anderson for a fight as Anderson is not there. Flair says he'll kick Anderson's "ass" as we come to a close.

Next week on Nitro: Randy Savage takes on Kevin Sullivan, Alex Wright battles Disco Inferno, and Lex Luger takes on Meng.
