WCW Monday Nitro: December 25, 1995

Ho Ho Ho!! Merry Christmas everyone as we are "live" for tonight's special Christmas Day episode of WCW Monday Nitro with our hosts Eric Bischoff, Bobby Heenan, and Steve McMichael. We are "two nights away" from Starrcade. They mention how Hulk Hogan has been "suspended" by WCW for the rest of 1995 which is only a week left so no big deal.

Lex Luger takes on the other half of The American Males in Scotty Riggs. Riggs misses a missile dropkick. Luger hits a Powerslam and puts him in the Torture Rack and makes Riggs give up for the win.

Gene Okerlund interviews Sting. Sting talks more about Luger as he is sick of everyone doubting him and Luger as he is trying to get Luger to do the right thing. Sting says he wants another chance to put Ric Flair in the Scorpion Death Lock and never let go. Sting then mentions New Japan Pro Wrestling saying bring it on and they will lose at Starrcade since they are on WCW turf.

Sting next takes on his old rival Big Bubba Rogers as Rogers gets the advantage at the start and attacks him. Sting soon fights back. Sting tries to climb the top rope, but gets poked in the eye by Rogers and Rogers tries to superplex him. However, Sting falls on top of him for the 1-2-3 for the win.

Okerlund next talks to Lex Luger and Jimmy Hart. Gene asks Luger what's going on with him and Sting and Luger says they're friends and nothing is wrong. Luger then again claims to be the "uncrowned world champion." Sgt. Craig Pittman comes out and asks Hart to be his manager but Hart turns him down.

Next up is Dean Malenko and Mr. JL. Malenko hits some suplexes and JL counters with a flying headscissors and a somersault out of the ring onto Malenko. Malenko drops JL throat first onto the top rope. Malenko gives JL a top rope gut buster and then locks him into a leg submission and gets the win by making JL give up.

Gene Okerlund next interviews Ric Flair as he is about to face Randy Savage for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship next as Flair says he will be the next champ. Jimmy Hart comes out to apologize for what happened last week between the Four Horsemen and Dungeon of Doom. Hart then offers to manage Flair for his match with Savage and will help him as Flair lets him.

Savage defends the title against Flair with Hart in his corner. Savage attacks Flair's knee and even puts Flair in his own Figure Four before Hart helps Flair reach the ropes to break the hold. Savage gives Flair punches in the corner until Flair hits him with an inverted atomic drop, but it was on his bad knee.

Flair tries the Figure Four, but Savage counters it into an inside cradle for two. Flair sends Savage to the floor as Hart kicks Savage. Back in the ring, Flair gives Savage an elbow drop and Hart chokes Savage. Flair puts Savage in a hammerlock on his bad arm and puts him on his back for a two while Flair has his feet on the ropes.

Savage fights back as Flair begs off Savage, but catches Savage with a shot to Savage's nuts. Flair hits a vertical suplex on Savage. Flair hits Savage with chops and right hands in the corner as Savage fights back with right hands.

Savage then hits a backdrop on Flair and sends Flair into the corner as Flair flips out onto the floor. Savage climbs the top rope and tries to hit Flair with a double axe handle on the floor, only for Flair to hit him in the midsection.

Flair then puts Savage in the Figure Four as Savage eventually grabs the bottom rope to break the hold. Flair climbs to the top rope but Savage catches him and slams him off the top rope. Savage hits Flair with a double axe handle off the top rope for a two-count. Jimmy Hart grabs Savage's leg but Savage nails him.

Lex Luger then runs into the ring to attack Savage to get Flair disqualified. Savage then attacks Luger as Sting runs down and attacks Flair. He hits Flair with a Stinger Splash and a gorilla press slam to send him out of the ring while Savage sends Luger out.

Sting and Savage back into each other and when they turn around they are about to hit each other, but stop and are face-to-face as Nitro goes off the air.
