ECW Hardcore TV: December 12, 1995

So for the first time, I am watching ECW. I just found out that MSG network that we have here in Buffalo has ECW TV late Saturday night, early Sunday morning. I just saw this in my newspaper TV section and I am excited about it. I have been reading about ECW in Pro Wrestling Illustrated for over a year now so I kind of have an idea about what's going but still trying to learn.

This week's version of ECW Hardcore TV takes place from the ECW Arena in Philadelphia. The main event will be Mikey Whipwreck defending the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against both The Sandman and Steve Austin in a Three-Way dance from the December to Dismember event.

The show starts with the hottie Beulah McGillicutty looking like she's about to undress and says you will see what her box has in store for us.

Then the intro plays first playing the beginning of Nine Inch Nails' "Closer" while they spell out E-X-T-R-E-M-E then it switches to White Zombie's "Thunder Kiss 65" both awesome songs by the way while they are showing a bunch of clips from ECW shows as part of the opening montage. White Zombie brings me back to playing Way of the Warrior on 3DO which has the entire White Zombie album.

I like this so far. Our host is Joey Styles.

We are shown highlights on ECW Fan Cam of The Heavily Bodies (Tom Prichard and Jimmy Del Ray) making their ECW debut at a house show last week helping Raven and his crew and The Eliminators seriously beat down Public Enemy, The Pitbulls, and Tommy Dreamer. Stevie Richards got his arm broke in the melee.

These matches are from the December to Dismember supercard. ECW doesn't have PPVs like the WWF and WCW have so these are just local monthly supercard events like last month's November to Remember.

The opening match is The Bad Crew with Damien Kane and this hottie Lady Alexandra taking on The Dudley Boys (Buh Buh Ray Dudley and Dances with Dudley) w/ Big Dick Dudley walking on crutches, Sign Guy Dudley, and Chubby Dudley. I love this so far listening to killer rock/metal music and hot women!!!

The Dudleys I guess are these group of hillbillies wearing tie dye t-shirts and jean/overall shorts and thick nerd glasses. This is hilarious!!! I really like Buh Buh Ray as he is this big fat guy who dances around and acts hilarious and stutters when he talks only to slapped in the head to talk normal!! Hilarious!!!

WWF and WCW you have your work cut out for you thank god you have your huge bankroll or ECW doesn't or else ECW would seriously be close to putting you guys out of business. Buh Buh Ray looks like Newman from Seinfeld.

These Dudleys wrestle with their glasses on. At the end of the match, Buh Buh Ray offers to shake hands with one of the Bad Crew members only to sucker him in and kick him in the gut. Buh Buh goes for a powerbomb but has trouble lifting him up until Dances with Dudley runs into the ropes and hits Buh Buh from behind causing Buh Buh to finally pick him up and powerbomb (called the Buh Buh Bomb) him for the win.

Buh Buh wants to dance and the audience were calling him for him to dance in celebration. However, Big Dick Dudley will not let poor Buh Buh dance as he tells him to go to the back. Joey Styles says it best that Big Dick is simply a "Big Dick!"

Next is a promo with Stevie Richards and The Heavenly Bodies. Richards is asking both Jimmy Del Ray and Tom Prichard if they can ask Beulah to ask if she likes him better than Raven, but they don't think its a good idea. Richards then walks into a wall, doing more damage to his already broken arm. The Bodies make fun of him. Richards is hilarious.

Now it's time for the Three-Way Dance for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship between the champion Mikey Whipwreck, Steve Austin, and The Sandman. Whipwreck and Austin fight at the start while The Sandman eventually comes out as it takes him a while to come from the audience to Enter Sandman by Metallica. He is with Woman as he is smoking a cigarette and drinks beer before coming to the ring.

Austin hit Whipwreck with the Stun Gun to pin and eliminate Whipwreck as there will be a new ECW Champion as only Austin and Sandman are left. Austin and Sandman brawl outside and use tables, chairs, and the guardrail. Austin pins Sandman in the ring, but Sandman has his foot on the ropes to break up the pin.

Sandman then pulls out a pair of brass knuckles and nails Austin with them and pins him for the 1-2-3 despite Austin having his foot on the ropes. The referee did not see it as Sandman is the new ECW World Heavyweight Champion, his second reign as ECW Champion. He celebrates his new title reign by smoking a cigarette and drinking beer, take that WWF and WCW.

We close the show with a bunch of promos called "Pulp Fiction promos" with Dick Dale's version of "Misirlou"which is the theme song for the hit Pulp Fiction movie.

We are seen Sandman winning the ECW Championship, The Heavenly Bodies hitting on Beulah as she looks to undress, Taz with a towel over his head with Bill Alfonso, The Dudley Boys with Big Dick Dudley grunting and scaring his other brothers, The Public Enemy, and The Pitbulls are coming for The Eliminators and this super hottie Francine mocks both Beulah and Jason saying to Jason she will take him on in a catfight, supposedly calling him a girl.

Joey Styles ends the program by telling us that The Sandman broke his hand in the match and will have to defend his title at the upcoming Holliday Hell tour against Steve Austin and against Cactus Jack.

First impressions of my first actual watching an ECW program and seeing it for myself is that there is a ton of action, but it's just too much fighting outside with weapons. It is different and there's both a positive and negative. It certainly is not boring like the traditional pro wrestling where everything seems predictable but using weapons takes away too much of a screwjob finish.

I do love the use of current and real music and no stupid entrance themes. It's cool to hear White Zombie and Metallica and others music I love to listen to. I also love the sexy women wearing almost nothing as it is almost like watching porn without having to pay for it.

I will need to see more ECW programs but I am looking forward to watching it again next week.
