In Your House PPV Company's Lowest Buy Rate Ever Despite Amazing Main Event; Vince McMahon Allows Most Signs at Shows; Jeff Jarrett Returns; Alundra Blayze Signs with WCW; WWF Wants Ultimate Warrior Back; Jim Cornette WWF Head Booker; Paul Heyman Runs Down Former ECW Wrestlers

This weekend's In Your House PPV drew a pathetic 0.33, the lowest buy rate in WWF PPV history. The main event of Bret Hart vs. Davey Boy Smith was stellar, just about as good as their SummerSlam 92 thriller. The Wrestling Observer gave the match 4 and 3/4 stars. Hart gets into some hot water for bleeding profusely, going against the company's strict no-blood policy. However, Hart tells them it was the result of a hard shot by Smith so no punishment was handed down. Jeff Jarrett returned to the WWF unannounced at the PPV.

The PPV was held in Hershey, PA and despite being close to Philadelphia, the home of ECW and the fact many fans at the PPV were ECW fans, Vince McMahon decided not to confiscate any sings unless the content was too crude for TV. There were numerous ECW and ECW themed signs along with a "Diesel Sucks" and "Hulk Hogan" sign in attendance as McMahon wants to shake things up in his company. There would be a number of "ECW" chants going on during the PPV.

Alundra Blayze was released from her contract due to financial problems with the WWF and she will return to WCW, where she was known as "Madusa."

The WWF is trying to bring back The Ultimate Warrior, hopefully for the Royal Rumble but the locker room is strongly against him signing.

Jim Cornette is named head booker of WWF, replacing Bill Watts, a couple of weeks after his wrestling promotion Smoky Mountain Wrestling closed down. Cornette is bringing some of SMW talent over to the WWF.

ECW holds its first-ever card at Lost Battalion Hall in Queens, New York, drawing a sellout 1,100 fans and earning a company-record $28,000. Missy Hyatt makes her ECW debut and the main event features the returning Sabu against Cactus Jack. Paul Heyman runs down Steve Austin and Tom Pritchard on the microphone for no-showing the event due to them signing with the WWF.
