We are six days away from Survivor Series. In what was supposed to be a main event for the Intercontinental Championship between Razor Ramon and Sycho Sid, WWF President Gorilla Monsoon announces the match will be a non-title match. He believes some problems between special guest referee 1-2-3 Kid and Razor will have the Kid be non-partial during the match and could cause problems for Razor.
They have shown Razor and the Kid arguing this past weekend at house show events and even this past weekend on Superstars where Kid blamed Razor for them failing to defeat the WWF Tag Team Champions The Smokin' Gunns. The Kid was even slopped by Henry Godwinn this weekend and he blamed Razor.
The opening match is Godwinn taking on Hunter Hearst Helmsley as we show last week Helmsley attacking and slopping Godwinn. Helmsley attacks Godwinn before the match. Godwinn finally is about to enter the ring as he carries in the slop bucket.
Instead of slopping Helmsley, he dumps the slop bucket on himself and goes after Helmsley. Helmsley tries to run away, but he is slipping and sliding in the slop all the way to the back as Godwinn is chasing after him.
Dok Hendrix gives us the Survivor Series report. We are shown an interview from this past weekend on Superstars where Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase and Sycho Sid warn Jim Cornette (along with the British Bulldog) to not cross Sid at Survivor Series with Cornette's other wrestlers on the other side.
We are now shown a special rock 'n' roll music video featuring the return of Shawn Michaels to the ring this Sunday.
Ahmed Johnson makes his WWF in-ring debut tonight against jobber Jake Steele. Michaels appears on the split screen and tells us he knew he could trust Ahmed when he slammed Yokozuna two weeks ago. Johnson easily defeats Steele with a Spinebuster and a double underhook sit down powerbomb. Johnson then talks to Vince McMahon after the match and warns Sid and Bulldog not to cross him at Survivor Series.
Next we have Diesel and Bret Hart on the split screen for a very special interview for this weekend's WWF Championship main event. McMahon asks Diesel if he is the one who is the best there is, was, and ever will be. Since he is the champion, Diesel says yes.
McMahon asks Hart what he thought of Diesel being the leader of the New Generation. Hart believes that's not true since he never beat Hart. Hart mentions how he didn't lose the WWF Title cleanly at last year's Survivor Series and felt he never lost the title in the first place.
He mentioned how Diesel did not beat him at Royal Rumble in what was Diesel's toughest match to date and did not receive a rematch for the title since. McMahon points out that Bret did not beat Diesel at the Royal Rumble as well. Diesel said he never heard Hart ask for a rematch and says that his match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania was tough as well.
Bret says he has nothing but respect for Diesel being the champion for almost a year now. Bret believes he's the better wrestler and that the big wrestlers tire out quickly. He feels that Diesel is avoiding the technical wrestlers for that exact point which Diesel pointed out that Bret was his first challenger as WWF Champion.
Both Bret and Diesel continue their back-and-forth until the interview comes to an end where McMahon wishes both men luck this Sunday. That was an awesome interview.
McMahon and Jerry Lawler take on each other in a game of Karate Fighters. Lawyer wins as of course he cheats. McMahon scares Lawler with the Undertaker returning at Survivor Series. Undertaker vows revenge on King Mabel. Mabel quickly squashes a jobber.
It's time for the main event as Razor Ramon takes on Sycho Sid with The 1-2-3 Kid as the special guest referee. We are shown highlights from this past weekend on Superstars where Razor and the Kid took on the Smoking Gunns for the WWF Tag Team Championship. Razor kept breaking up pinfalls and got himself and the Kid disqualified and the Kid was not happy with him.
Dean Douglas made his way down to the ring and attacked Razor. Sid and Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase are distracting and talking with the Kid. Razor comes back and has Sid up on his shoulders for the Razor's Edge. However, Kid pulled Sid off Razor's shoulders. Sid kicks Razor and gives him the Powerbomb for the 1-2-3 as Kid gives a really fast count as he screwed Razor.
Luckily for Razor, the match was non-title or else he'd won the title as Gorilla Monsoon was right to worry about the Kid's involvement in this match. DiBiase put a $50 bill in Razor's mouth and the Kid picked it up and put it in his pocket. Kid finally joined DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation and turned heel.
In the back, Jim Ross is interviewing Camp Cornette and Dean Douglas. Razor interrupts and goes after Douglas. We'll see you next week and at Survivor Series.
